Job Description

The successful incumbent is responsible to formulate effective recruitment strategies and programs to recruit high-quality insurance advisers and achieve company's distribution growth objective.

On the job you will:
• Develop automated and reproducible processes for extracting requested information from Enterprise Data Lake (EDL)/database systems
• Strong ability to extract, transform, and stage data for consumptions
• Develops and implements ad-hoc business analytics and reporting on projects of moderate scope
• Demonstrates the ability to generate relevant, actionable insights based on iterative data analysis
• Present/visualize the data with relevant use of graphs and charts that are user friendly and easy to interpret by non-professional data in business intelligence such as Qlikview, PowerBI, Tableau
• Communicates business analytics of moderate complexity to more senior team members and junior business partners
• Fundamental understanding of the business and raise questions on data models/pipelines for future analytic initiatives that well support business strategic priorities
• Assess data quality, identify gaps in the data and eliminate irrelevant data
• Coordinate with regional data office to ingest new data sources into data lake, develop and deploy data curation, dashboards maintenance and automation refresh setting up
• Coordinate with the regional data office or data scientist peers in Philippines to promote/spillover best practices and documentation in all analytic use cases
• Actively participate on cross-functional project teams developing analytics enabled solutions both at the local and regional level
• Other tasks will be assigned by line manage

Job Requirements

We are looking for someone with: 
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in quantitative discipline (statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, operation research, econometrics, computer science, etc.) with 2 years of applicable experience or a combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of descriptive statistics, data transformation to support BI and on data visualization tools (Taleau, QlikView, Power BI), and use of appropriate charts and visuals for effective reporting
• Knowledge of R, Python, SAS, Stata, Matlab, SPSS or other related statistical packages
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel features such as pivot tables, pivot charts, filters, and functions

Nice to Haves: 
• Has intimate understanding of the business value chain and customer lifecycle for the projects they are supporting. Has fundamental understanding of the business as a whole.
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL and other relational databases preferred but not required
• Knowledge of machine learning/predictive analytics such as time-series forecasting, regression (Linear, GLM …), decision trees etc. preferred but not required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Understands company culture, cooperation & information sharing within the company
• Adaptable and open to change with strong collaboration and communication skills
• Communicate results of work to business partner and recommend solutions to senior team members
• Consider diverse perspective to build support of own ideas
